MANILA—The LRT-2 will resume free morning rides for students on Monday after a delay in operations on Thursday forced the transit company to suspend the rides.
Students will not be charged for taking the train from 5 a.m. to 6 a.m., and between 3 p.m. and 4:30 p.m.
Free rides are available only on weekdays, except holidays.
The LRT-2 also announced that its operations will start at 5 a.m. from its Cubao and Recto stations.
The last train leaves the Cubao station at 8:30 p.m., while the one from Recto is out at 9 p.m.
The Light Rail Transit Authority earlier closed the stations of Santolan, Katipunan and Anonas after a fire destroyed a power rectifier.
