MANILA - A group claiming to be supporters of President Rodrigo Duterte tried to interrupt the program of the Kabataan party-list whose nominees were filing their certificates of candidacy (COC) Friday afternoon.

Members of the party-list arrived at the Comelec office with banners calling for free education. They were chanting "kabataan, pag-asa ng bayan."

The group of Duterte supporters composed mostly of the elderly, shouted back: "Duterte! Duterte!"

"Nakakahiya kayo!" an elderly woman shouted.

"Bakit, wala na kayo makuhang shabu, kaya kayo ganyan?" another one said.

The youth group ignored the group and pushed through with their program as their nominees Sarah Elago, Erika Rae Cruz, Vennel Chenfoo, Ellice Balgos, Florence Kang, and Kristian Jacob Lora filed their COCs.
