Isetann Recto, one of the oldest malls in the capital city, has settled its P2-million tax deficiency and secured proper business permits at the city hall, Manila Public Information Office chief Julius Leonen said in a statement.

The lift order was signed by Manila Mayor Isko Moreno shortly after the Bureau of Permits and Licenses Office confirmed that the mall has "substantially complied with the deficiencies/violations noted in the Closure Order in relation to the operation of your business."

Moreno on Wednesday served the closure order and padlocked the decades-old mall after authorities found that there were several misdeclarations in its 2019 business permit.

The mall, in a letter addressed to Moreno, said it will implement the anti-fencing law in its premises to abide by the mayor's call to curb the re-selling of stolen gadgets.
