MANILA (3rd UPDATE) - Twin glitches hit the LRT-2 and MRT-3 during the morning rush hour on Wednesday, inconveniencing scores of passengers.

At around 10:30 a.m., a northbound MRT train stopped between Magallanes and Ayala stations for 10 minutes, before passengers were instructed to walk along the rail tracks.

A power supply problem was reported from Ayala to Taft stations some 15 minutes before the glitch and was resolved around 10:35 a.m., the MRT management said.

A styrofoam, meantime, was caught in one of the MRT-3's power lines along Ortigas southbound in Mandaluyong at around 9:48 a.m.

The train line's operation was unaffected. Authorities said they are looking for ways to remove the object.

The LRT-2 also stopped its operations from around 9:50 a.m. to 10:20 a.m. due to a "train fault" at Gilmore Station, said its management.
