A landslide forced authorities to close both lanes of Marcos Highway, a route to Baguio City, after it struck along the main thoroughfare in Tuba town, Benguet on Wednesday.

Falling rocks hit a passing jeepney hurting three passengers around 6 p.m., said Police Maj. James Acod, Tuba’s police chief.

Acod also said boulders toppled an electric post.

The Department of Public Works and Highways in Cordillera is still waiting for the soil to stabilize before beginning clearing operations.

The public is advised to take the Naguilian Road or the Asin-Nangalisan-San Pascual Road when going to or exiting Baguio City.

Kennon Road is still closed to traffic due to rain-induced landslides.
