MANILA (UPDATE)—State weather bureau PAGASA said Wednesday 3 weather systems were affecting the Philippines, which would bring rains to parts of Luzon and Visayas.

Tropical depression Nimfa, unlikely to make landfall, was located 685 kilometers east of Basco, Batanes as of 10 a.m. Wednesday, PAGASA said.

It maintained its strength, packing maximum sustained winds of 55 kilometers per hour (kph) and gusts of up to 70 kph.

Meanwhile, a shallow low-pressure area was spotted in the vicinity of Mayontoc, Tarlac while the southwest monsoon or habagat continued to affect parts of Luzon and Visayas.

PAGASA said light to moderate, with intermittent heavy monsoon rains, will affect Pangasinan, Zambales, Bataan, Occidental Mindoro, Romblon, northern portions of Palawan including Calamian and Cuyo Islands, Aklan, Antique, Iloilo and Guimaras.
