ZAMBOANGA CITY- The local government together with the residents of Zamboanga commemorated on Sunday the fifth anniversary of Zamboanga Siege.

In a wreath laying ceremony, Mayor Beng Climaco-Salazar remembered the sacrifices of the 20 soldiers, 5 policemen, and 13 civilians during the 21-day long attack.

Climaco vowed to pursue the legal battle against the perpetrators of the 2013 Zamboanga siege until the very end, as she stressed the battlecry “never again Zamboanga City.”
