Afternoon classes at the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of the Philippines Visayas in Miagao, Iloilo were suspended Friday following a fire incident at the school's Tomas Fonacier Hall.
An initial report said that just before noon, dark smoke was seen coming out of the roof of the building where the chemistry wing of the college is located.
The Bureau of Fire Protection immediately responded to the scene.
