MANILA - Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte, who is pregnant with triplets, is not slowing down from work, especially in the wake of a bomb attack that killed 14 people in her city last Friday.

Speaking to ABS-CBN's "Umagang Kay Ganda," Duterte said she cannot follow her doctors' wishes to rest amid her difficult pregnancy, as she needs to lead her city after its latest tragedy.

"Wala na pong magawa ang mga doktor. Kung gustuhin man nilang hindi ako lumabas kasi baka mahawa ng mga sakit, magkaroon ng kumplikasyon, hindi pwede. Kasi kailangan kong magtrabaho,"

(My doctors cannot do anything. Even if they would want me not to leave home to avoid infection and complication, it's not be possible. I need to work.)

She said she is taking medicines to protect her pregnancy.

Fourteen people were killed and at least 67 others were wounded when a bomb ripped trough Davao City on Friday, in an attack claimed by Abu Sayyaf extremists.

Duterte on Saturday led some 500 Davao residents in offering a memorial mass for the victims. It was her first public appearance since announcing her pregnancy in August.

On Monday, the mayor offered P2 million for the immediate arrest of several persons of interest tagged in the blast.
