The head of the Public Attorneys Office (PAO) on Sunday denied that she will run for senator in next year's polls.
Some media outlets reported that PAO chief Persida Acosta was among the senatorial candidates of newly established polical party Katipunan ng Demokratikong Pilipino (KDP).
(I saw TV reports on that yesterday, but I had no prior knowledge of that. I did not declare that I will run in 2019 and I have no plan to do so.)
Acosta said KDP gave her an award for patriotism recently, but she clarified that she is not a member of the party.
The PAO chief added that she has rejected offers to run under the senatorial slate of other parties.
(I'm already in public service, I do not need to run for office.)
