MANILA – State weather bureau PAGASA said Monday the Ipo Dam was nearing its spilling level.

PAGASA said as of 6 a.m. Monday, the dam's water level was at 100.95 meters above sea level, just .05 masl below its spilling level.

With the rising level of water in the dam, PAGASA said the Ipo Dam Management may begin spilling operation within the day.

Residents living in low-lying areas and those near the river bank of Angat River, from Norzagaray, Angat, San Rafael, Bustos, Baliuag, Pulilan, Plaridel, and Hagonoy in Bulacan are advised to take precautionary measures.
