MANILA - An explosion rocked Cotabato City's Traffic Management Office in Barangay Poblacion 5 on Saturday night.

Unidentified perpetrators lobbed the bomb onto the roof of the office at around 7 p.m., the police Explosive and Ordnance Disposal (EOD) unit said.

No one was killed or injured in the incident.;

Cotabato City Acting Mayor Cynthia Guiani Sayadi said the explosion may be aimed at terrorizing residents and authorities who support the city's campaign against illegal drugs and criminality.

The Traffic Management Office, Sayadi noted, is located beside a police station where some inmates allegedly continue their drug dealings.

A raid of the station's lock up cell was conducted after the explosion, yielding nine cellphones, several lighters, a DVD player and a drug tooter.
