MANILA—Senate President Vicente “Tito” Sotto III on Saturday said photos exist of Antonio Sanchez wearing women’s clothes, which, Sotto added, confirms a fellow senator’s story.

“Totoo ’yun. May mga litrato . . . Ipe-presenta ko ’yung photo sa inyo,” Sotto told radio DWIZ. “Binabae na siya (Sanchez).”

Sen. Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa told ANC on Wednesday that, according to corrections officers, “nagbait na (si Sanchez). In fact, nakikita nila na nagpapalda na nga daw, so changed man na talaga siya, changed man.”

Sanchez was convicted of killing 4 people, including University of the Philippines Los Baños students Eileen Sarmenta and Allan Gomez. He is currently serving time at the New Bilibid Prison in Muntinlupa City.

Authorities announced Sanchez’s possible release for “good conduct” at the Bilibid, igniting public outrage.

Dela Rosa was criticized when he said Sanchez “deserve(s) a second chance in life.”

When asked about Dela Rosa’s statement, Sotto said he was not sure if his fellow lawmaker was serious.

“I’d like to think hindi natapos ’yung gusto niya (Dela Rosa) sabihin. Pero second chance na du’n niya gusto sabihin nagbago na, nagbago na nagbibihis na babae na. Hindi niya nai-timing,” Sotto said.

He added: “Second chance to commit the same crime? Anong second chance? Will you give him a second chance to do the same crime?”
