This is due to the effect of a low pressure area (LPA) at the northern boundary of the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR), as well as a tropical depression located 1,955 kilometers east of Luzon, which are both pulling at the southeast monsoon.

The Philippines is not likely to encounter a typhoon anytime within the next three days, as the LPA, which is moving west towards China, has a low chance of developing into a cyclone and may dissolve within the day. The tropical depression east of Luzon is also moving away from the country and will not enter the PAR.
