ILOCOS SUR—President Rodrigo Duterte on Thursday raised the bounty to P3 million on the perpetrators behind the killing of 4 policemen in Ayungon, Negros Oriental.

“‘Yung pagkamatay ng pulis na pinaghahampas nila, agrabyado ako. So galit ako. Ngayon, may pakana sila na ‘yun daw nag-lead ng grupo na ‘yun, he became despondent, he committed suicide. Bolahin ako,” he said in a speech in Candon City, Ilocos Sur.

“So the other night, I raised the first P1 million. Then, the other night I was before the governors and mayors, I said, 'I’m raising it P2 million.' Now nandito ako, I’m raising it to P3 million. Dalhin mo lang ‘yang ulo ng p***** i** okay na sa akin, sabi ko,” he added.

“Do not bring the body because that is ma-seremonya na. Marami nang magtingin, mga simpatiya, ‘yung mga manggagawang loko-loko, ‘yung mga front nila. Nandito ba ang Karapatan? Karapat-dapat lang talaga kayo upakan mga g*** kayo,” Duterte said.

The 4 policemen were allegedly killed and tortured by members of the communist New People's Army (NPA) in Ayungon.

The President on Saturday visited the wake of the policemen and gave the Order of Lapu-Lapu Rank of Kalasag medal to the victims—Police Cpl. Relebert Beronio and Patrolmen Raffy Callao, Roel Cabellon and Marquino de Leon.

“Do not ever think that the military and the soldiers would enjoy killing a human being. Magalit lang siyempre makita nila ‘yang the esprit de corps or the camaraderie siyempre,” Duterte said.
