DFA logs 27 new COVID-19 cases, no deaths among Filipinos abroad; total now at 9,192

MANILA - The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) on Thursday said there were 27 new cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) recorded among Filipinos abroad, raising the total to 9,192.

The DFA also reported no new fatalities and 9 new recoveries.

Of the total cases, 3,167 are active, while 5,378 have recovered. A total of 647 have succumbed to the disease.

These cases are from 69 countries and regions.

The breakdown by region of those undergoing treatment is as follows: 167 in the Asia-Pacific; 495 in Europe; 2,385 in the Middle East and Africa; and 120 in the Americas.

In the Philippines, 74,390 confirmed COVID-19 cases have been recorded as of Thursday, of which 48,136 are active.

The infectious disease has claimed the lives of 1,871, while 24,383 have recovered.
