OVP to launch free ferry service for health workers, frontliners in Cebu

MANILA - The Office of the Vice President and its partners will launch on Thursday, July 9, a free ferry service for health workers and other frontliners in Cebu.

The ferry service will take passengers from Olango island to Lapu-Lapu City, and vice versa, with two trips in the morning and another two in the afternoon.

In an interview on on RMN DYHP 612 Cebu Radio, Robredo thanked all their partners and volunteers helping in the cause.

Robredo's office launched on Monday a free shuttle service spanning 3 routes for medical workers in Cebu City.

Her office also plans to set up 3 dormitories in Talisay, Mandaue and Fuente Osmeña, Cebu City this week. A similar dormitory in Barangay Banilad, Cebu City is already full.

Cebu City confirmed 5,126 cases of COVID-19 as of Saturday, according to the health department's website.
