A low-pressure area that has formed inside the Philippine area of responsibility is expected to bring rains in Luzon and Visayas, the state weather bureau said Saturday.

The weather activity was spotted off Eastern Samar and could intensify into a tropical depression within the next 36 hours, PAGASA has said.

PAGASA added that cloudy skies with light to moderate rains and thunderstorms will be experienced in the Bicol region and the provinces of Isabela, Aurora, Quezon and Palawan.
