MANILA- The Bureau of Customs said Tuesday hackers broke into their website, claiming the move was an attempt to delay the agency's computerization program.

Customs Commissioner Rey Guerrero condemned the hacking by still-unidentified individuals.

As of 12 noon Tuesday, the BOC website remains inaccessible to the public.

The agency, however, assured the public that its computer system "remains intact and secure and that there is no disruption in the operations of the Bureau."

"The Bureau has already coordinated with the National Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-PH) under the Cybersecurity Bureau of DICT," it said.
