MANILA—Tropical depression "Domeng" maintained its strength as it moved northwest over the Philippine Sea, state weather bureau PAGASA said Tuesday.

In its 11 p.m. advisory, PAGASA said Domeng is unlikely to make landfall but may bring moderate to occasionally heavy rains over MIMAROPA and Western Visayas starting Thursday, and over western Luzon starting Friday.

Domeng was last spotted 670 kilometers east of Guiuan, Eastern Samar, packing maximum sustained winds of 45 kilometers per hour near the center and 60 kph gusts.
