Magnitude-4.0 quake hits Agusan del Sur

MANILA--A 4.0-magnitude earthquake jolted Agusan del Sur late Saturday, according to the Phivolcs.

The tremor struck at 10:15 p.m. approximately 9 kilometers northeast of Veruela town with a depth of 7 km.

The tremor was tectonic in origin.

The Phivolcs said damage to structure and aftershocks are not expected.
