MANILA - Opposition Sen. Antonio Trillanes IV and Magdalo party-list Rep. Gary Alejano rejected Thursday the claims of Peter Joemel Advincula alias "Bikoy" that members of the opposition had plotted to discredit and oust President Duterte before June 30, 2019.

Speaking to radio DZMM, Alejano denied Advincula's claim that he personally met with 7 Otso Diretso candidates, except Mar Roxas, to discuss the alleged plot.

"Yung binanggit niya na nakaharap niya ang Otso Diretso. Unang-una, 'yan ay mali. Sinabi ko na nung ano akong tinanong, hindi ko kilala si Bikoy at hindi ko pa siya nakausap ni minsan...Nakaharap daw namin si Bikoy, except Mar Roxas. That's clearly a lie," he said.

He added that he will consult with his fellow Otso Diretso candidates on the possible filing of charges against Advincula.

"I will consult with my fellow Otso Diretso, pwede naming kasuhan yang si Bikoy dahil naninira ng reputasyon," he said.

Similarly, Sen. Trillanes rejected Advincula's claims and said he will consult his lawyers for the possible filing of charges.

"I deny the allegations made by this Bikoy character. This could be another ploy of the administration to harass the opposition. For now, I will be consulting with my lawyers so that we could also file the appropriate charges against him," he said in a statement.

Bikoy, in the "Totoong Narco-list" videos claimed drug money was funneled into the bank accounts of Duterte's son former Davao City Vice Mayor Paolo Duterte, his son-in-law Atty. Manases Carpio, and former aide Christopher Go.

On Thursday Advincula claimed that all the revelations in the Bikoy videos were lies hatched by the Liberal Party to discredit Duterte. He also apologized to the President, Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte and other personalities identified in the videos.

He said he was promised 500,000 pesos to appear in the videos, but the money did not come through.
