MANILA — Two students of a Manila-based international school are set to join 11 of their peers at Ivy League universities in the United States.
Romnick Blanco will be going to Harvard University in Massachusetts, while Jessica Cuadro will head to Columbia University in New York City.
The two are beneficiaries of scholarships at International School Manila.
Blanco will be taking advantage of a full scholarship to Harvard covering tuition, accommodation, plane tickets, and clothing, said ISM in a statement. Cuadro also qualified for a full scholarship.
Blanco, seventh of nine children, is the son of a farmer in Sierra Madre, Bulacan.
Cuadro, meanwhile, is the daughter of a police officer.
