MANILA - The sibling rivalry between half-brothers reelectionist Senator JV Ejercito and former sen. Jinggoy Estrada continues on social media.
On Thursday, just hours after Estrada conceded defeat, Ejercito tweeted "I am still...The Good One."
Ejercito seemed to take a swipe at his brother for his earlier post that referred to incumbent Sen. Nancy Binay as the "BETTER person among others" to get the final slot.
Binay was ahead of Ejercito by more than 220,000 votes for the final slot, based on partial and unofficial results of Comelec data as of Friday morning.
Meanwhile, Ejercito followed up his first tweet by tweeting "And I am really the Good One..." and the word "Bitter" hours later.
As of 8.29 a.m. Friday, Binay had 14,409,333 votes at No. 12. Trailing her is Ejercito with 14,183,061 votes. Estrada is at No. 15 with 11,268,201 votes behind Bam Aquino's 14,054,642 votes.
Ejercito ran under President Rodrigo Duterte's slate while his brother was under the lineup of Duterte's daughter Sara Duterte-Carpio's Hugpong Ng Pagbabago.
