MANILA - Government's inter-agency task force on pandemic response on Friday issued a new resolution declaring the quarantine status of several areas at risk of the coronavirus disease, as restrictions are eased in several places this weekend.
In Resolution No. 37 of the Inter-Agency Task Force on Emerging Infectious Diseases issued May 15, Cebu City and Mandaue City were placed under enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) until May 31.
This elevates the status of Cebu City's lockdown to stricter protocols. Initially, it was listed among places under modified ECQ.
The task force also added new places to the list of areas under modified ECQ.
Other than Metro Manila and Laguna, which were earlier announced to be areas under the modified lockdown, "transitioning high-risk" areas in Central Luzon were added.
These are the following:
-Bataan
-Bulacan
-Nueva Ecija
-Pampanga
-Zambales
-Angeles City
