MANILA - The Sandiganbayan 7th Division granted the motion of former First Gentleman Mike Arroyo to be allowed to travel to 3 European countries from May 23 to June 10, 2018.

Despite the objection of the prosecution, the anti-graft court gave Arroyo permission to go to Madrid and San Sebastian in Spain; Lisbon, Portugal; and Prague, Czech Republic.

The court set the usual conditions for travel on Arroyo such as presenting himself to the court upon his return to the Philippines, as well as posting P90,000 bond which is already covered from his last trip in January this year.

Arroyo, along with former police officials led by former Philippine National Police chief Jesus Verzosa, is facing various graft charges for the government purchase of his second-hand choppers which were passed off as brand new in 2009.
