MANILA -- AA Kasosyo, a party-list backed by former Palace communications assistant secretary Mocha Uson, trailed other groups, with nearly 95 percent of votes counted as of Tuesday.

Uson, who resigned from Malacañang last year after a string of gaffes and controversies, is the first nominee of AA-Kasosyo, which she said aims to help Filipinos, particularly overseas workers, become successful entrepreneurs.

The party-list placed 74th with 0.41 percent of the votes as of 11:26 a.m.

The group backed by media personality Erwin Tulfo, ACT-CIS or Anti-Crime and Terrorism Through Community Involvement and Support, led the race with 9.48 percent of the votes.

Left-leaning Bayan Muna placed second with 1,063,101 votes or 4 percent of the total.

Uson last year drew flak over a video about federalism that featured dancing and another clip that courted protests from the deaf community. This prompted even those she was working with in the Palace to call for her resignation.

She also butted heads with opposition figures such as Vice President Leni Robredo and Sen. Antonio Trillanes IV.
