Joy Belmonte has secured the Quezon City mayoral seat, according to the latest unofficial, near-completed results in the 2019 midterm elections.

Belmonte (SBP), the city's current vice mayor, took in 468,421 votes of the tallied counts from the 1,483 of the total 1,487 precincts, as of 3:50 a.m. Tuesday, against the 365,052 votes of her closest rival, Vincent Bingbong" Crisologo.

Crisologo (PDP-Laban), Quezon City's incumbent 4th district congressman, was earlier arrested for obstruction of justice after he allegedly interfered in a police operation against vote-buying.

The vice-mayoral race went to Gian Sotto (SBP), the son of Tito Sotto and Helen Gamboa, and his 380,299 votes. He edged out Jopet Sison (PDP-Laban), who had 341,788 votes.

Meanwhile, Onyx Crisologo (SBP) is leading the race for a congressional seat representing the 1st district of Quezon City.

Precious Castelo (NPC) is on course to represent the 2nd district; Allan Benedict (PFP) for the 3rd district; Bong Suntay (PDP-Laban) for the 4th district; Alfred Vargas (PDP-Laban) for the 5th district; and Kit Belmonte (LP) for the 6th district.
