#HalalanResults: Chavit Singson tops rival clan to become Narvacan mayor

Luis "Chavit" Singson on Monday ended the 30-year rule of the Zaragozas in Narvacan, Ilocos Sur.

Singson received 16,551 votes, while Edgardo Zaragoza had 7,995 votes, based on 100 percent of election returns of clustered precincts.

Prior to winning the mayoralty, Singson served as Ilocos Sur governor and representative of the province's first district.

Incumbent governor Ryan Luis Singson and vice governor Jerry Singson were also ahead against their Zaragoza rivals. -- Report from Bryan Realgo, ABS-CBN News
