Malacanang has named Mocha Uson as a communications official, an appointment paper showed Tuesday.
"Pursuant to the provisions of existing laws, you are hereby appointed Assistant Secretary, Presidential Communications Operations Office," a letter addressed to Uson showed.
The letter, dated May 8, was signed by President Rodrigo Duterte.
"By virtue hereof, you may qualify and enter upon the performance of the duties of the office, furnishing this Office and the Civil Service Commission with copies of your oath of office," the letter added.
In January, Uson, a popular figure in social media and staunch Duterte supporter, was appointed board member of the Movie And Television Review And Classification Board (MTRCB).
In April, Uson was also part of Duterte's official delegation during his Middle East trip.
