PANABO CITY – Police on Saturday released a cartographic of a man and a woman believed to be among the group behind the burning of a plastic factory in Davao.

The duo allegedly identified themselves as policemen, said Senior Superintendent Marciano Magistrado, police chief of Davao del Norte.

"They [said they] will be implementing a search warrant, when they talked with the security guards. So after that, tinutukan nila ang security guards, they disarmed the four security guards," Marciano told ABS-CBN News.

The two seized from the security guards one shotgun, and two handguns.

Over 100 people on board two trucks then reportedly entered the premises and proceeded to burn the plant.

"They initiated the burning incident using an incendiary bomb," Marciano said.

Police identified the individuals as members of a group (PBC-I) led by a certain "Ka-Jinggoy".

The group then withdrew from the area, and used an L300 van owned by the plant as a getaway vehicle, which authorities later discovered burned at Purok 2, Barangay Malativas in Panabo City.

Law enforcers also discovered within the area one SUV, 1 truck, and 1 van which might have been left there by the armed group.

The Panabo burning incident took place alongside the burning of factories in Calinan and Mandug, all owned by the Lorenzo family.
