Vaccination drive, medical mission isinagawa sa Quezon City Jail

MAYNILA — Iba't ibang klase ng serbisyong medical ang hinandog sa halos 200 na mga Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs) sa Quezon City Jail, ayon sa lokal na pamahalaan.

Marami sa mga bilanggo ang may mga karamdaman kagaya ng hypertension, diabetes, skin diseases, at iba pa, sabi ni Jail Superintendent Michelle Bonto.

Nahandugan sila ng libreng check-up, mga reseta at mga gamot. Nagkaroon rin ng libreng blood testing para sa kanila at maging eye check-up.

Nasa 30 na mga inmate ang nabigyan ng serbisyong dental sa pamamagitan ng tooth extraction.

Isinabay na rin sa medical and dental mission ang pamamahagi ng bakuna kontra COVID-19 at sa iba pang mga klase ng karamdaman.

Ayon kay BJMP-NCR regional director Jail C/Supt. Luisito Munoz, inaasahang magpapatuloy ang pagsasagawa nila ng medical mission sa mga darating na buwan para na rin sa iba pang mga inmate sa iba't ibang mga city jail sa Metro Manila.
