MANILA – The Department of Health (DOH) on Saturday reported 102 new coronavirus infections, raising the country’s tally to 7,294.

The number is the lowest reported in a single day since April 4, when 76 cases were added.

In a bulletin, the DOH said the total deaths have climbed by 17 to 494. But 30 more patients have recovered from COVID-19, bringing the total number of recoveries to 792.

President Rodrigo Duterte on Friday extended the enhanced community quarantine in Metro Manila and other parts of the country until May 15 to further slow down the transmission of SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19.
