MANILA - Another tropical depression in the dry month of April is expected to enter the Philippine area of responsibility on Tuesday, state weather bureau PAGASA said.

PAGASA said the weather disturbance was located 1,345 kilometers east of Visayas at 4 a.m.

The cyclone was packing top sustained winds of 55 kilometers per hour (kph) near the center and gusts of up to 65 kph.

"Sa ngayon po, maliit pa ang tsansa na mag-landfall ito sa kalupaan. Inaasahan po nating magre-recurve ito papalayo ng ating bansa," PAGASA meteorologist Shiela Reyes said in a 5 a.m. weather bulletin.
(For now, it is unlikely to make landfall. We expect that it will recurve away from the country.)
