Duterte gets call from Trump, talks about bilateral cooperation vs COVID-19: Sen. Go

MANILA - Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte on Sunday night received a phone call from US President Donald Trump, Senator Christopher "Bong" Go said.

According to Go, the two state leaders will be discussing bilateral cooperation against the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).

Go added that it was Trump who initiated the phone call.

As of Sunday, the Philippines has a total of 6,259 confirmed COVID-19 cases. Of this number, 572 have recovered while 409 have died.
