MANILA - An earthquake in Lanao del Sur province on Wednesday triggered a landslide near a school in the nearby town of Kalilangan in Bukidnon, a local official said.

"Sa high school, public school po ng Kalilangan, may nangyari pong landslide dahil sa nangyaring lindol," Fredelyn Ragandang of the provincial governor's office told radio DZMM.

Local officials, she added, have not yet received reports of
residents injured in the incident.

The town's Sangguniang Bayan building suffered serious damage and was declared a "no entry zone."

She said authorities also found minor damage in 4 bridges and several houses across Bukidnon.
