MANILA (UPDATE) - The Philippines confirmed 152 new cases of COVID-19 infection, bringing the country's total to 3,246 as of 4 p.m. Sunday.

The Department of Health said there were also 7 new recoveries bringing the total to 64, and 8 new deaths bringing the total to 152.

More than 1.1 million people have now fallen ill and over 60,000 people have died since the virus emerged in China late last year, according to an AFP tally.
