MANILA - The local government of the city of Manila will be distributing a P1,000 cash grant to 568,000 families, Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso announced on Sunday.

Domagoso made the announcement after signing the city's amelioration fund, or Ordinance No. 8625. The ordinance allocated P591 million to provide cash assistance to more than half a million families living in the city.

He also said the government aims to complete the distribution of the aid before next Sunday. The house-to-house distribution will begin on Tuesday.
