DOH announces 385 new COVID-19 cases; total breaches 3,000

MANILA — The Department of Health on Friday said there are now 3,018 confirmed COVID-19 cases in the Philippines.

The new cases confirmed in the last 24 hours are 385.

There are also 29 new deaths, bringing the total number of fatalities to 136.

Meanwhile, there was 1 new recovered patient or a total of 52 recoveries since the start of the outbreak in the country.

DOH has yet to release details on the individual patients.

As of Friday, there have been more than 1 million COVID-19 patients around the world, according to the Johns Hopkins University coronavirus dashboard. Of that number, 53,000 have died and more than 212,000 have already recovered.
