Hard work and determination finally paid off for this 64-year old tricycle driver from Zamboanga del Sur.

After years of being a tricycle driver by day and student by night, Generito Yosores finally received his diploma at the Western Mindanao State University-Molave External Studies Unit in Zambanga del Sur.

Yosores, who now has a degree in Bachelor of Secondary Education, major in English, financed his studies by driving a tricycle and using his P500 senior citizen monthly allowance.

Dr. Regina Menioria, External Studies Unit Coordinator at WMSU-Molave campus, was all praises for Yosores, whom she described as industrious and a good student.

Dr. Menioria added that Yosores really wanted to finish school and earn a college diploma to prove that age was never a hindrance to attaining one's dream.

Yosores' inspiring story made rounds in social media after Jr. Tem's Portrait posted his graduation photo last March 30.

In a photo shared by Bayan Patroller Jonah Lou Revilla, Yosores is also seen on stage finally holding his diploma, his "batchmates" beaming behind him.

In another photo, he was seen accompanied by his sister.
