MANILA (UPDATED) - "StarStruck” Season 6 Ultimate Male Survivor Migo Adecer was arrested by police in Makati City Tuesday night in connection with a hit-and-run that left 2 Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) employees injured.

Police Maj. Gideon Ines, assistant chief of police for operations of Makati City, said the 19-year-old actor struck a pair riding a motorcycle while driving a white Subaru BRZ in Barangay Poblacion.

Instead of helping the victims, identified as Rogelio Formelos Castillano and Michelle Gallova Papin, the suspect took off, he said.

Bystanders rushed the victims to a nearby hospital while traffic enforcers chased the actor, whose full name is Douglas Errol Dreyfus Adecer.

When the suspect was cornered along N. Garcia St., he reportedly became unruly and refused to surrender his license.

Police Col. Rogelio Simon, chief of police of Makati City, said Adecer attempted to evade arrest and hit a patrol car.

"Inipit namin 'yung kaniyang sasakyan kaya hindi na siya makaabante... Inatras niya ngayon 'yung kaniyang sasakyan at nabangga itong nakaharang na mobile namin," he said.

Simon said Adecer was reportedly under the influence of alcohol.

"Halatang lango siya sa alak. Kinakausap namin, wala sa sarili. Nagsisigaw-sigaw," he added.

Atty. Marie Glen Abraham-Garduque said her client reportedly didn't know about the accident.

"Ang initial statement niya sa akin is hindi niya raw alam na meron siyang na-sideswipe. Otherwise, ang sabi niya sa akin, kung alam niyang may nasagi, he would stop," she said.

Abraham-Garduque said her client is willing to shoulder the victims' hospital bills.

Before the incident, Adecer was also involved in another traffic violation in Rockwell Tuesday afternoon for driving recklessly. He surrendered his driver's license.

The police are also looking into if the driver's license confiscated from him on Tuesday night was fake.

Adecer will face charges for reckless imprudence resulting in physical injuries and damage to property and disobedience to person in authority. - Report from Lady Vicencio and Dexter Ganibe, ABS-CBN News
