Dumipensa ang anak ni presidential aspirant Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. na si Sandro sa isyu ng political dynasty nitong Biyernes.
Tumatakbo si Sandro bilang Ilocos Norte 1st District Representative at makakatunggali ang nakaupong congresswoman na si Rep. Ria Christina Fariñas, mula sa pamilya na matagal nang katunggali ng mga Marcos sa probinsya.
Bukod sa kaniya, lima pang miyembro ng pamilya Marcos ang tatakbo sa local elections.
Ang pamangkin ni Bongbong at anak ni Sen. Imee Marcos na si Ilocos Norte Gov. Matthew Marcos Manotoc ay tatakbo muli bilang gobernador at lalabanan din ang dati nang gobyernador at kongresista na si Rudy Fariñas.

Ang cousin-in-law ni Marcos na si Ilocos Vice Governor Cecila Araneta Marcos, tumatakbo muli sa pangalawang termino at may tatlong katunggali sa pwesto.
Tatakbo rin muli bilang alkalde ng Laoag City ang incumbent mayor na si Michael Marcos Keon na isa pang pinsan ni Marcos at lalabanan si Chevylle Fariñas at Toto Lazo.
Lalaban din muli bilang re-eleksyonista si 2nd district Representative Eugenio Angelo Marcos Barba na may dalawang kalaban sa pwesto.
Sabi ni Sandro, hindi naman ang kanilang pamilya ang nagdedesisyon kung maluloklok sila sa pwesto.
“There is an electoral process, a democratic one. That is up for the people to decide, not for me to decide, not for anyone to decide, but the Ilocano people to decide,” sabi ni Sandro Macros sa ambush interview bago ang kanyang naging proclamation rally sa kapitolyo ng Ilocos Norte.
Kung manalo si Sandro, ito ang magiging kauna-unahan na elective position niya sa gobyerno.
Tiwala naman siyang may sapat na siya na kakayahan kahit ang kalaban niya ay isang kongresistang nakaupo pa sa pusisyon.
“She (Fariñas) became a congresswoman in 2019, and I started working there [in Congress] in 2019 in the office of the Majority Leader (Martin Romualdez) which gives you an encompassing view of how the House (of Representatives) works as a body and institution, a collegial body at that," ani Marcos.
"So I think my past experience will prepare me for this, will prepare me for this movement, for this campaign. And hopefully for the victory,” aniya.
Gayunman, hindi pa rin nagpapakampante si Sandro.
