MANILA - The Lung Center of the Philippines has launched an online consultation service for all concerns related to the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).

Dubbed "COVID AskForce," the project has more than 200 volunteer doctors who are assisting the public by providing free online consultation.

With this project, the Lung Center aims to lessen the need for people to go to hospitals for unnecessary COVID-19 related consultations, while also lessening the risk of infection.

The volunteer doctors will be providing factual information about the disease, as well as advice for the patients.

Online consultation is available from Mondays to Saturdays, from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Cut-off time for consultation is at 10 a.m. and 9 p.m.

The AskForce is also recruiting more volunteer doctors from all over the country to help provide medical consultations.
