MANILA — (UPDATE) Unidentified riding-in-tandem gunmen shot Wednesday former Vice-Mayor Nacianceno Pacalioga, Jr. of Dumingag, Zamboanga del Sur in Bacolod, Lanao del Norte.

Initial investigation by the Bacolod municipal police station said Pacalioga got off his car to urinate near a highway when the assailants approached him and shot him.

Pacalioga was immediately brought to a hospital in Iligan City for treatment.

In 2017, Pacalioga was dismissed by the Office of the Ombudsman for serious dishonesty and falsification of official document in connection with his SALN as mayor for the years 2011, 2012, and 2014.
