MANILA- Pasig City has installed sanitation tents in its city hall, and in two city-run hospitals as local government units race to fight the spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).

Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto on Twitter posted pictures of sanitation tents, which will be used to go in and out of the city hall, Pasig City General Hospital, and Pasig City Children’s Hospital.

In the tweet, Sotto said private companies were willing to lend quarters for frontliners such as doctors and nurses tending to patients who may be infected with COVID-19.

The government on Monday announced it was putting Luzon under community quarantine, halting all but basic necessities in a bid to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
As of Wednesday, DOH has recorded 193 COVID-19 cases, 7 of which have already recovered. Death toll remains at 14.
