MANILA - Davao Region will be closed to all land, sea and domestic air travel starting Thursday, March 19, a task force overseeing the government's response to the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic said Tuesday.

The suspension of travel in and out of Region 11 will last for 14 days, the Davao Region COVID-19 Task Force said.

It may be reduced to 7 days, subject to daily assessment by health authorities, the task force added.

The task force, created by the Regional Peace and Order Council and Regional Development Council, will be headed by Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio.
