MANILA - Jonas Bueno, the suspect in the killing of a farmer in Cebu, was arrested by virtue of an arrest warrant issued by the Danao City Regional Trial Court Branch 25.
Bueno was nabbed by joint elements of CIDG Regional Field Unit 11, NBI Region 11, Regional Intelligence Unit 11, Mindanao Area Police Intelligence Office, and Talomo Davao Police Station in Purok Guadalupe, Matina Crossing, Davao City at 5 p.m. Friday.
The 32-year-old construction worker resides in Sitio Tubigon, Barangay Santikan, Danao City, Cebu and in Purok Santiago, Barangay Matina Crossing, Davao City.
According to an ABS-CBN News source, Bueno was first identified and tagged as the prime suspect in another killing by a "person of interest" now under the custody of Cebu Police.

Bueno is now undergoing questioning on his possible connection with the separate case.
Sources said police investigators from Lapu-Lapu City, Police Regional Office (PRO) 7 and CIDG Regional Field Unit 7 will be arriving in Davao Saturday to participate and conduct thorough investigation based on the findings.
For the meantime, Bueno will be placed under the custody of NBI Davao Region.
