ABS-CBN's franchise is expiring on May 4, 2020 but Congress has yet to tackle nearly a dozen bills seeking to grant the company a fresh 25-year broadcast franchise.

With only few session days left before Congress adjourns starting March 14 for the Lenten break, the House Committee on Legislative Franchises is expected to conduct hearings when lawmakers convene in May.

ABS-CBN operates free TV Channel 2 and radio DZMM.
