A Chinese cargo ship was held off Bredco Port in Bacolod City Monday night to block a possible novel coronavirus (COVID-19) infection from its crew from China, which is at the center of the virus' outbreak.

The vessel MV Unicorn Bravo sailed from Xiamen Port carrying at least 3.3 metric tons of fertilizer, which is consigned to a Filipino-Chinese distributor based in Bacolod, authorities said.
