Davao quake topples waiting shed, injures 2

A Magnitude 4.6 earthquake toppled a concrete waiting shed in front of a school in Davao City Thursday morning, injuring at least two people.

A Facebook live video by ABS-CBN correspondent Francis Magbanua showed Rescue 911 personnel helping an injured woman who was hit by a waiting shed in front of Teodoro Palma Gil Elementary School.

The video also showed pupils of the school staying outside the building.

The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake struck at 09:50:16 AM and was tectonic in origin.

The quake was felt at Intensity IV in Davao City.

A Magnitude 4.2 quake also struck Montevista, Compostela Valley at 9:50 am.
